Rich had wanted to go to Saundersfoot for some time so a few weeks ago we had a day out. It’s a long drive from where we live (took us about 2 1/2 hours each way) & the town is small with a few shops but it was worth it as the beach is AMAZING.
The weather was pants – cold, wet & windy but we still had a fab time. After eating fish & chips in & a restaurant right on the beach front we walked along the harbour.
Funny I’d never really heard of Saundersfoot but not long after our visit it was on Welsh TV – I think either Xray or Wales Today (not really sure) – they were doing a feature on Insurance policy scams. I can’t remember all the details but it was something to do with using people’s addresses to register false policies or claims.
We didn’t realise Tenby was so close so we drove 10 minutes down the lanes & found parking just outside the castle walls. We wondered down cobbled streets & along the harbour & took a coastal path to the RNLI Lifeboat Station. We were surprised to see this building ….
We both remember watching this being converted from the original RNLI Lifeboat Station into someone’s home on Channel 4’s Grand Designs some years ago. What a view they have of the sea but it look all closed up & unoccupied – maybe they were away?
